Matt Waring

Matt Waring is the son of a Richmond based Single Family contractor and has worked in the construction industry most of his life. He was formerly a superintendent on both single family and multifamily construction projects in Virginia and South Carolina. Matt has been a Certified Home Energy Rater since 2011 when he initially joined the Viridiant team as Technical Advisor. From there, Matt worked into a Project Management role focusing on the range of Multifamily Low Income Housing and Market Rate projects seeking certification through the EarthCraft Multifamily program. He eventually took over the Multifamily department in 2016. After a brief hiatus again as a superintendent, Matt rejoined Viridiant as part of the Technical Management team and has been working with Viridiant’s in-house technical advisers and a broad array of external clients.
