Jay Fisette

Jay Fisette is the Managing Partner of DMV Strategic Advisors, LLC – which assists businesses, non-profits and local governments to advance projects and policies aligned with the overarching goals of the Greater Washington region. Jay served on the Arlington County Board from 1998-2017. He championed Arlington’s energy plan, zero-waste policy, bicycle plan and accessory dwelling unit ordinance. He was instrumental in the development of Arlington’s C-PACE program to help finance energy efficiency retrofits of private commercial buildings and in a successful RFP for multiple solar power purchase agreements on public buildings. As past president of the Virginia Municipal League (VML), Jay created VML’s Go Green Virginia Initiative, an annual “friendly” competition among local governments across the Commonwealth to encourage them to promote sustainability and reduce their carbon footprint. He served as Chair of the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments’ Climate Energy and Environment Policy Committee for its first three years. In 2007, Mr. Fisette received the region’s top honor from the Metropolitan Washington Council of Governments, the Elizabeth and David Scull Public Service Award, for leadership and dedication to regionalism. In 2018, Mr. Fisette attended former Vice President Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project training.
